Two types of Claims Services are offered, one requiring a field inspection and one which does not.
The field inspection consists of contacting the policy holder and/or claimant to develop background information on circumstances concerning the loss, inspecting damaged property, determining the cause of loss through physical inspection and investigation, identifying subrogation potential, outlining salvage recovery potential and providing narrative reports throughout the claim process until conclusion.
Some claims do not require an on site inspection. These are generally less complex claims that require a marine professional to confirm cause of loss and extent of claim related damage through invoice review, contact with the policy holder and repair facility. Identifying subrogation potential is included, if any exists. Through our negotiation of discounts, elimination of non-claim related items and salvage sale to the repairer the cost of this service is usually less than the amount we save you. Providing the vessel is at a repair facility, these claims can usually be concluded within 72 hours of assignment receipt. These claims can be anywhere, not just within Florida.
